Solstice, Holidays, and Snow

How wonderful the wintery wonderland has come to us right before the shortest day of the year.  Beautiful to look at, fun to enjoy, but beware of Nature’s beauty if you have to venture out into the darkness of night.

This is the time of year for reflection…at least for me.

This is the time of year that I am especially grateful for all the support, friendships, and new adventures that have made life worth living.

Thank you Applegate Valley for being part of our lives and welcoming us in.

We love it here and look forward to meeting more of you and to many more of Nature’s hallmarks in the Valley.

Happy Solstice!  Remember it’s a nice time of year to take a nice hot, citrus bath.

Going Mobile

Hello Everyone in E-Land!

Sang Ly Montage, L. Ac. of the Applegate Valley would like to announce the new service she has to offer.  It turns out the Acu-Mobile has morphed into something a little different than originally imagined.  Instead of pulling her clinic rig to the nearest parking lot near you.  Sang will be coming to your house personally.

There seems to be a need to take a step back in time and bring back the good ol’fashion house call.  Sang will be traveling two days a week in various areas.  She will be opening a clinic at: 3833 Humbug Creek Rd, Applegate, OR.

It has been thus far very rewarding and fun for her to travel to your homes.

Please call Sang at 1-541-231-6558 to schedule your appointment.

Y Gorilla?

Gorilla is AN ATTITUDE.

Gorilla is D.I.Y. evolved.  See post on D.I.O.

Gorilla is NOT following formal grammatical guide lines or PUNctuation rules.

AnyONE can B a Gorilla.  It’s a CHOICE as with anything.

It is about stepping up to become the best part of your self.  It is about being part of A TROUPE aka band o’ gorilla’s.

It is about learning how to not be overburdened with the difficulties of life.  it’s about:

Shifting FOCUS.

Shifting Attitude.

Perhaps shifting Lifestyle.

BECOMING empowered.  Being STRONG.

It’s about being serious about the path you have found and are on. Or perhaps it’s all about changing the course and being STRONG to go forth.

It is about PARTICIPATION.  Being a Part of Some ThING bigger than yourself.

Hope you choose to become THE GORILLA that resides inside of U…(or maybe The Cat, Dog, Turkey…you choose!)

It’s the Inner Power we all Possess and are capable of becoming.

NOW, let's get to work! Together!

D.I.O. What’s That?

D.I.O. is Doing It Ourselves.

D.I.O. stems from D.I.Y.

D.I.Y. originally was so punk, only the crusty punks heard of it through D.I.Y. zines.  Now it has a reality T.V. show named after it, a podcast and who knows what else.  D.I.Y. kicks butt!  This Gorilla still loves it. (Notice weird PUNctuation.) However, now, 2012 style, we need a new system.  We need Community and Support out there.  No D.I.Y’er is their own island. This is where D.I.O. comes in.

Gorilla Acupuncture stems from a D.I.Y. attitude, but understands that sometimes we need a little help from our friends, family, and community.  Gorilla Acupuncture wants to create a community based D.I.O. system where other healers, practitioners, doctors, spiritual leaders, and of course Y.O.U.! come together to discuss, learn, and participate.

Healing can be difficult and D.I.Y. is the only path towards ultimate improvement…but outside assistance at times is needed and necessary.   This is where a new attitude of D.I.O. is born.

Become a Gorilla here.  Listen, Learn, Participate!

Here is the actual quote from John Donne:

No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.
John Donne, Meditation XVII
English clergyman & poet (1572 – 1631)
